Dress Code

St. Charles School believes that an appropriate Dress Code is important in educating our students. It is our goal at Saint Charles School to have a uniform that allows some choice while eliminating competition in style or fashion among the students. Our students are recognized in the community by their uniforms. Your consistency and conscientiousness in following the standards and regulations stated in the Uniform Code are required.

School Closings and Delays

St. Charles follows the Boardman School District with regard to closures and delays.

  • When Boardman City Schools close, St. Charles School is also closed.
  • When Boardman has a two hour delay, St. Charles has a two hour delay.
  •  Boardman bus riders will still ride the Boardman bus.
  •  Those in other busing districts which are not on delay or closed can still take the morning bus and take advantage of our before-care program.
  • Those in other busing districts which are on a two hour delay will need to check your local bus district policies.
  • Those in other busing districts which are closed will have to find other transportation.
  • Whenever St. Charles School is closed due to weather, it will be posted on TV and you will receve a One Call notification.
  • GAMES ARE CANCELLED WHEN the hosting team was closed due to weather. If we are closed and the hosting team was open that day, the game is still on!

School Crisis Management Plan

The Crisis Management Plan is intended to provide the school administration and staff an opportunity to prepare responses to a wide variety of emergencies. The plan gives specific attention to: issues of violence, threats upon persons or property, natural disasters, civil unrest, intruders, environmental disasters, contraband, and utilities failure. The Crisis Management Plan relies heavily upon the local school staff for implementation.

The primary members of the Crisis Management Team are the Pastor, School Principal, Administrative Assistant, Custodian, and Teachers. Parents, local law enforcement and emergency service agencies may assist them. Each team member has a specific role and will have a written description of their duties as the plan is called into action.
